- Troubleshooting.
The SECUREzone® platform is a 24/7 facility with a coverage specified by the client using the service and depends on the deployment of mobile devices. The service is able to monitor and track staff and/or assets across different times and places that are within the bounds of the operating environment of the organization or business.
SECUREzone® platform has been successfully deployed in fleets across Shire Councils, Airports, Logistics, Couriers, infield service, civil engineering, security etc, and has consistently proved to be an invaluable and dynamic management tool.
SECUREzone is an automatic vehicle locator (AVL) and telematics platform for fleet management. Each mobile device in the field is linked to an in-field mobile gateway e.g. one of our MCG boxes that is wired into each vehicle of an organization's fleet. The in-field mobile gateway sends real-time operational data, via a wireless TCP-IP internet connection to a GPRS tower (e.g. Telstra), to the SECUREzone Data Distribution Portal (i.e. the SECUREzone gateway and the Mprofiler software system). The SECUREzone Data Distribution Portal is currently hosted in the USA. Data is processed and organized by the MProfiler into a suitable format for passing back to an organization's operation center or base station when requested.
Our company has developed an application program interface (API) called the Transcom MProfiler Client that “hangs off” our NC3000 base gateway; and which is located at a organization's operations center or base station. The MProfiler Client can make a direct internet connection to the SECUREzone Data Distribution Portal. Based on the pre-defined user-profile, a real-time request is made for live vehicle and event data (i.e. MProfiler data), which is then pass back to the data-handling application associated with the operations center or base station. The data-handling application can be:
- Transcom's Locator mapping tool.
- SECUREzone fleet management module.
- Any 3rd party compatible software package.
Each system has a user interface through which vehicle and trip data can be viewed, analyzed and reported as per operational requirements. We can configure a system that meets any one of these options.
There are two critical factors to consider: the company that owns and operates the system; and the system itself. Consider these factors in detail:
